Checklist for Submitting the Online Application:
  1. Be certain about the specific graduate program to which you are applying – use the program name as shown at: http://www.gradstudies.ucdavis.edu/programs.
  2. If your transcript shows a name different from that on your application, indicate BOTH names clearly on the application.
  3. When you submit your application online, you may pay with Visa, MasterCard or e-check through the secure online system.
  4. Check the admission deadline chart to determine deadline(s) for the graduate programs to which you are applying. All deadlines are firm, no exceptions will be made.
  5. All transcripts must be sent directly to the graduate program to which you are applying. All other required documents (writing sample, CV or résumé) must be submitted electronically using the online application. Paper copies will not be accepted.
  6. Letters of Recommendation must be submitted electronically through the online admissions application system. Programs will instruct applicants to have recommenders submit all recommendations online using the online recommendation service provided. No hard copies will be accepted.
  7. You must have ETS send your GRE scores electronically. Specify the UC Davis institution code, 4834, and the department code indicated by your proposed graduate program. Be sure to make note of the ETS reference number for your score(s), as you will be required to provide this number for self-reported score(s).
  8. Obtain a copy of the "Free Application for Federal Student Aid" (FAFSA); complete it and mail to the Federal Student Aid Program Office, Iowa City, Iowa.
